Decode the Journey:
The meaning of the symbols used in this journey are archetypal to the collective ~ they are not hard and fast rules, just likely suggestions. You are responsible for interpreting what your imagination indicated by the symbolic answers it gave you.
The answers to these prompts tend to change throughout your life depending on how you see and feel your reality, how you’ve grown, and which lessons you’ve absorbed.
You can come back here any time and journey again; though now you know what the symbols represent, be sure to note your instinctive answer: not the one you idealise.
The TIME OF DAY of your journey is the type of life expression you chose in this life; the daytime is masculine/expressive, the night is feminine/receiving.
The TEMPERATURE / WEATHER is the emotional temperament you feel in this life. eg. if it is cold and rainy you may feel that life is sad overall or feel as though people are mostly cold toward you. If it’s sunny and warm you interpret life warmly.
The type of PATH you envisioned and how you traverse it is the most natural way you want to move through life. Is it steep with many challenges, perhaps you casually meander; walking through life and enjoying the journey. Some people envision a highway and speed down it in a car.
The WALL you encountered represents how you see obstacles in life and how you deal with them. Did you find a tiny wall and step over it, did you diligently demolish the wall with effort? Perhaps you found it too great to move past and ended your journey here.
The BEAR represents fear, and the unexpected & unknown. To some the bear is ferocious and they can not make their way past. To others the bear is friendly and even travels with them down their path as a friend.
The KEY is symbolic of knowledge. To some they find the key useless and throw it away. To others they may find a skeleton key that unlocks any door.
The BOOK is self revelation, self communication, or communication in general. Is it so new in appearance that it’s barely touched? Perhaps it is written in a language you don’t understand; indicating you have trouble understanding yourself or others. Maybe you understand yourself so thoroughly the book is clearly well read and worn. What you do with it and your interest in it may indicate your interest in self knowledge or communication with others.
The COIN is representative of self worth. Is it in your local currency or is it an ancient coin? Are there any interesting symbols on it that you may associate with your self worth?
The BOX or CONTAINER is symbolic of receiving the gifts of the universe. Some people do not open the box for fear of what is inside, others find it overflowing with abundance and treasures, others still find it empty and use it to carry the objects previously found. Some even leave it on the path.
The CUP is how you respond to and interpret love. Some find it dirty and are revolted by the cup, and leave it upon the path. Others glorify it by seeing it as golden and weighted with crystals, almost too precious to even touch. Perhaps the cup is overflowing with clear water and you took a refreshing sip.
The BODY OF WATER is representative of sexuality & sensuality. Did you avoid it for fear of a creature lurking within? Did you find it murky and stagnant or flowing freely and fresh to swim in or drink from?
Finally, the STRUCTURE is representative of the transition of death. To some it is foreboding and they do not enter. Some see it as their home and enter easily. Others see it as someone else’s or can’t find an entrance and wait outside. The interior of the structure (if you entered) is how you feel about the afterlife. Was it empty and neutral, did you find it cosy and welcoming?
